Abiola is an award-winning entrepreneur and children’s author. She’s passionate about creating strong diverse characters for young people and her second book, Emily Knight I am. . . Awakened, was nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal 2019 and shortlisted for London’s Big Read 2019. She is the founder of The Lil’ Author School, co-founder of The Author School and co-director of Hashtag Press. In 2018, Abiola won the London Book Fair’s Trailblazer Award 2018.
Wil’s blog FatKidOnFire (FKOF) earned him the ‘Digital Journalist of the Year’ title at the 2010 Guardian Student Media Awards. Today, FKOF is a chart-topping record label, events business and an award-winning digital publication. After working in the advertising and marketing industries, Wil co-founded Chew in 2014. The team raised three rounds of investment, acquired a US-based competitor and scaled to 400,000 users. Wil left Chew in 2017 after it was acquired by Singapore-based BandLab Technologies, joining Ignite Accelerator as a Programme Director.
Emmanuel is founder of Shulph, a book technology company focussed on multi-format reading experiences. Prior to founding Shulph, Emmanuel was a senior management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he led the firm’s digital experience practice to deliver digital transformation programmes for some of the world’s leading brands. He has spent the last 17 years specialising in human-centred design to build digital products.
Bec Evans is the author of How to Have a Happy Hustle: The Complete Guide to Making Your Ideas Happen. She's a writer, speaker, coach and startup founder who focusses on innovation and productivity. While working as a senior manager in publishing she turned her side hustle Prolifiko into a startup. As a consultant she helps businesses innovate and coaches people to build the skills and confidence to make their ideas happen.
